Joâo de Deus channels healing energies ever since he was a teenager (read The Miracle Man of Brazil by Robert Pellegrino-Estrich). For many years now, as a means to alleviate their diseases, people are flocking from everywhere in Brazil and from all parts of the world. Personalities as famous as Shirley Mac Laine (see her book: Dancing in the Light) came to solicitate care from the famous Man of Miracles. Ten years ago, a dream predicted that only Joâo would cure her from cancer and healing occurred in minutes the day she came to visit. Many come to the Casa to further their personal or spiritual development or to enhance their efficiency as healers or as therapists. This happens, not only through the teachings, but mostly through the energy present, as it opens all our chakras to our true nature. Like he says, since God is the healer, and not Joâo himself, Joâo doesn’t guarantee the healing. Deep within ourselves we know that in order to heal our physical body, we must, first of all, free some troubling emotional memories, quiet the mind so that the heart may begin to open and speak openly to our true nature, with self-love, here in now, in this body of flesh that inhabits the earth. The last stage to overcome is that of the body, where all the traumas are stored.
